The Lord is my rock

The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer.

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Dear beloved in Lord Jesus Christ, greetings and warm wishes!

Most of the times in the old testament, God was represented as the Rock of Israel. Viewed by everyone as the place for refuge and security. Also equally considered as the strength and deliverance. King David wrote many a times about the Rock as his refuge and deliverance. Also, the smitten Rock in the middle of the desert, which gave streams of water to Israelites was likened to Jesus Christ. In 1 Corinthians 10:4, Paul symbolises the streaming rock that followed them as Lord Jesus. Yes. the spiritual streaming rock from which the Israelites drank is none other than Jesus. Therefore, the Rock represents either Jesus or God in the Bible.

Our Lord is also our Fortress and Deliverer. He shields us from all the darts and flaming arrows of the adversary. And delivers us from all the evil and wicked plans. So, let us submit to the Rock of our Salvation and walk in His path. Amen.
