You Have Searched Me

“You have searched me, Lord”

You have searched me, Lord , and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.

Psalms 139:1‭-‬2 NIV

All the glory, praises and honor be to the Holy Father in Jesus’ precious name !

The Psalmist brings before us God’s perfect knowledge about humanity. In fact, the author is acknowledging God’s Omniscience through the subject verses. The Almighty God who created man from the mud knows every bit of His creation. Truly, everything is bare before the Creator. By writing the psalms, the author is exalting and giving glory to the Living God.

The Omnipotent God has examined the author and knows him to the minutest of details. As a matter of fact, God knows everything about everyone more than they themselves. He knows our every movement, whether we sit or rise to go. The thoughts that flash in our minds may not be known to us ahead of time nor we realise when they come to pass. But the Almighty knows our every thought that we are to make up well ahead of time. As the verse says, He perceives us from afar off — both in time and space. The holy scriptures say that the Almighty God observes all of us right from His throne.

From the place of His dwelling He looks On all the inhabitants of the earth;

Psalms 33:14 NKJV

Therefore brethren, let us acknowledge the Omniscience, Omnipresence and Omnipotence of the Almighty God. Exalt the Living God for all the things that He is doing in our lives. Like the Psalmist, let us give thanks to the Almighty God in all things and at all times.

In Jesus’ precious name be blessed. Amen.
