Speak Up for Those
Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves
Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed.
All the glory, praises and honor be to the Heavenly Father in Jesus Christ’s matchless name !
The gist of the subject verse is primarily speaking for and doing justice to the oppressed. This is mentioned many a times in the Holy Scriptures. If we read through the scriptures, it seems nothing less than God’s mandate for all. For the Lord loves justice, He shall never forget those who does what he loves. As the following verse says, those who does justice are preserved forever, while the wicked are cut off.
For the Lord loves justice, And does not forsake His saints; They are preserved forever, But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off.
Psalms 37:28 NKJV
Speak Up
As the first part of the verse put forth, let us speak for the oppressed and those who cannot speak for themselves. Even before the justice, there is need for us to open our mouths for the poor and the oppressed. Indeed, our selfless and wholehearted deeds glorify the Almighty God. Righteous and comforting words when put it into action shall soothe the wounds of the hurt. Defending the fatherless, widows and oppressed is part of the true christian life. As the following verse says, we are to do good and seek justice for all those who are being crushed.
Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor; Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow.
Isaiah 1:17 NKJV
Very importantly, for doing all these things we need the Almighty God’s presence in us and with us. For the Almighty God gives us the courage and confidence to speak. Moreover, He shall give us the right words at the right time. As the following verse says, it will be given to us at the right hour what we should speak.
But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak;
Matthew 10:19 NKJV
Therefore brethren, let us move ahead in doing what is right and good in the sight of the Almighty God. When the Omnipotent God is with us, what can a mere mortal do? Our confidence and strength is our Lord Jesus Christ alone. Therefore, in Jesus’ matchless and mighty name be all deeds done. Amen.
