My Powerful Arm
With my powerful arm I will make him strong.
I will steady him with my hand; with my powerful arm I will make him strong.
All the glory, praises and honor be to the Heavenly Father in Jesus’ precious name !
From the subject verse, we could see the psalmist David referring himself as the God’s chosen king and anointed servant. And going through the context of the verse it is indeed the promise of the Living God to David and his descendants. Further down the chapter it is clear that the covenant of God with David would be kept forever through his seed, the Christ. And all the power of the Almighty God, is given to the Christ Jesus for establishing His kingdom.
Power of the Redeemer
As the verse says, the power of the Omnipotent God shall be established with Lord Jesus on the earth. Moreover, His hand shall be ever present with the Redeemer of the world. And the powerful arm of the Almighty God also strengthens Him in the fulfillment of the God’s eternal will. Our Lord and Redeemer is the head for the body, which is the church. When the body of Christ is strong with his power, we the members of the church shall also be strong in our christian living. Yes, as the following verse says, Jesus is the power and the wisdom of God.
but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
I Corinthians 1:24 NKJV
Finally brethren, let us live our lives in Christ for the glory of the Living God. So that the power of the Omnipotent God shall be with us in this journey of earthly life. For our kingdom is not of this world, but of Jesus Christ’s. In Jesus’ matchless name sojourn according to the will of the Heavenly Father. Amen.
