When Lust has Conceived
When lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin.
Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death.
All the praises and honor be to the Living God in Jesus Christ’s matchless name !
It is very important to understand that sufferings reaped out of our sins cannot be imputed to God. For God cannot be author of sin. The Bible says that God is the author of all good in our lives. As it is clear from the following verse little ahead of the subject verse.
‘Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. ‘
James 1:17
Do not get enticed
In fact, the verses 13-17 from the first chapter of the book of James brings before us the subject of trials and temptations. And the Living God cannot be tempted by evil and He Himself does not tempt anyone. Only the adversary, the devil is the tempter of all evil and wicked things. And we get tempted by the tempter when we get carried away from the Almighty God and get enticed to the worldly lusts. Therefore, with the conception of lust in our lives, sin shall take birth consequently. And what one may initially classify it as a small sin shall become humongous and uncontrollable with the passage of time. Eventually it brings the death to eternity which is hell.
God shall not allow anything beyond our limits
No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
I Corinthians 10:13 NKJV
Brethren, the Omnipotent God has not destined us to the hellfire of fallen angels, but to be with Him in His holy kingdom. As a true believer of Christ, we are to endure every weakness and temptation of life. It is not that God does not do anything. As the above verse says, He shall not allow any temptation beyond that one cannot bear. Tests and trials are part of our lives and those who endure shall receive the crown of life. But all these tests and trials are nothing to those who live in Christ. For He stands as our strength and shield all throughout of our lives.
Therefore brethren, let us not allow ourselves to fall prey to the tempter. By setting our sight upon the Lord Jesus Christ we shall overcome every trial and temptation. In Jesus’ matchless name we have the victory over the evil. Amen.
