As the child of the Almighty God, it is our primary duty to do good. For the God is good, and He wants His beloved children also to do good. Suffering for Christ
Of course, you get no credit for being patient if you are beaten for doing wrong. But if you suffer for doing good and endure it patiently, God is pleased with you.1 Peter 2:20 NLT
As the Apostle Peter says in the above verse, we deserve nothing for being patient in our suffering for doing wrong. What good is it if we suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, etc? But we stand to glorify the Almighty God when we endure the suffering for doing good. Most importantly, if one suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed says the scriptures. Rather one should glorify the Living God for getting the opportunity to suffer for Christ.
Very importantly, if it is the will of God for us to suffer, then it is indeed a divine blessing. As Apostle Peter says, let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good. For our Lord Jesus too asked us to deny ourselves and take up our cross and follow Him. Furthermore, Jesus said that those who desire to save their lives shall lose it. But those who loses their lives for His sake shall find it.
Therefore, let our lives always bring glory to the Almighty God. Especially, if we are through the sufferings, let His mighty name be exalted to the Highest in Jesus precious name. Finally, be blessed in Jesus matchless and mighty name. Amen
