Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, warm wishes and hearty greetings in the precious name of our Lord Jesus!

There is no doubt that the troubles of the world outweighs the general happiness. Nobody is immune to problems, for they come in all kinds and sizes. Even more, it is common for the people to say that those who are nearer to God experience more frequently and intensively. Most importantly, it is the Satan who inflicts us with all the troubles. But we attribute those to God saying that He allowed us to be troubled. Nevertheless, the problems that we are facing currently are only the consequences of our past bad choices. We are the ones who went away from God and thereby invited the troubles.

Brethren, Jesus has warned us long before. He said that in this world we shall have troubles. And as the following verse says, in Him alone we may have peace and also He has overcome the world for our sake.

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

John 16:33 NIV

For what we are facing are light and momentary troubles. God does not allow us more than what we can handle. The Scriptures says so according to 1 Corinthians 10:13.

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV

Moreover, all those problems and troubles are helping us to achieve an eternal glory. Yes, the eternal glory that far outweighs all of those troubles. Therefore beloved, take heart for our Lord has overcome the world. We are His property. Let us shout to those problems that they do not have any dominion over us. For Jesus Christ is our Lord and we are surrendered to Him alone. Amen.
