Love of Christ

The love of Christ compels us to restrain ourselves and do what is good to others.

For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.

II Corinthians 5:14‭-‬15 NKJV

For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again. II Corinthians 5:14‭-‬15 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/2co.5.14-15.NKJV

All the glory, praises and honor be to the Heavenly Father, in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ !

Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, blessed be the name of our Lord and Redeemer ! The statement that apostle Paul made through the subject verses and a verse before seems irrational to the people. It seems insane to be content and glorify the Lord even in all the trials and tribulations. In spite of all the pain, Paul preached the gospel for the benefit of all.

As we know, Jesus died for all of us. Being the children of God, we too are dead to our old life. It is no longer our old self that lives in us. But the new life washed in the blood of Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore brethren, let us live our lives for the one who died for us and rose again. Yes, He rose again delivering us from the legality of eternal hellfire which was hanging over us due to our sins. Truly, we are no longer slaves to sin because Jesus had set us free from the power of sin.

For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin— because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.

Romans 6:6-7 NIV

Finally brethren, let us radiate the love of Christ. Do everything for the glory of the Lord. Do not forget, true love for Christ enables us to do what cannot be achieved by our own strength. Rely upon the everlasting Father for the strength in the name of His Begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
