Put on your New Nature
Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator.
Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him. In this new life, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us.
Blessed be the name of our God!
Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, may the Lord’s grace and peace be upon you! It’s wonderful to share the good news of our Lord and stay blessed.
The above verses from the Book of Colossians talks about those things a person who accepted the Lord would need to pursue. There is no doubt that the new self which we acquired after replacing the old body, is continuously being renewed. The renewal that takes place in us; should confirm to the image of our Lord and Savior. Yes, our ultimate aim should be to become what our God wants us to become. Which is in the likeness of our Lord Jesus Christ. Truly the Bible says that, we are to put the new nature which is becoming righteous and holy in the sight of God. The following verses from the Book of Ephesians makes it even clear:
‘throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.’
Ephesians 4:22-24
Even more, it doesn’t matter whether we are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave, or free. Ultimately it is Lord Jesus Christ, who matters. When His Spirit is in us, we are renewed in our thoughts and attitudes. And it is the will of the Heavenly Father that we seek to do for the glory of our Lord.
May God’s divine presence be with you and your loved ones in Jesus’ matchless name. Amen.
