Praises and honor be to the Omnipotent God !

Beloved in Christ, the subject verse from the Book of Isaiah brings out God’s divine attribute — compassion. It is for sure that everyone at one time or the other might have gone through dejection or be downcast. Especially the time seems stuck and becomes difficult to pass. At this point, we can be sure of one thing that is not going proper in our lives. And that is our relationship with the Almighty God. To emphasize, it is the absolute absence of God in our lives.

And there comes the question. Did God forsake us ? or is it we who went away from Him ? I am sure it is by our own will and actions that we go astray. These things happen when we close our hearts to God and indulge in the worldly lusts. According to the following verse, it is our sins and iniquities that separates us from God.

but your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear.

Isaiah 59:2 ESV

The Merciful God

By our own selfish actions or willful indulgence in the worldly ways we get separated from God. But from the subject verse we see how great is our merciful God. Even though it is clear that the Almighty God deserts us, but it is not for long. Indeed nobody like to be left in the lurch. But it is for us to understand that our own sins, misdeeds, iniquities were the cause. It is for us to repent and seek the Lord our God. The more time that we take to return to God, the more difficult it seems the life. God certainly leave us to take time to come back, but He never leaves us. He waits on us to return back. As the following verse says, He does not leave or forsake us.

Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

Deuteronomy 31:6 ESV

The Almighty God says, “For a brief moment I deserted you, but with great compassion I will gather you“. Certainly, the brief moment of God might seems ages for us. But the riches of God’s great compassion and mercies are worth more than the difficult times of our lives. As said in the subject verse, He gathers all His children to Himself. Most importantly, the Omnipotent God gave His Begotten Son, Lord Jesus Christ to gather the whole mankind.

Therefore brethren, let us submit ourselves to the Lord and stay protected in the shadows of His mighty wings. Amen.
