Let us look at the above verse 2 Corinthians 9:15 and imbibe what it offers for us to grow and strengthen our spiritual life.
The context of 2 Corinthians 9:12-15 is about giving or supplying to the needs of the Lord’s people and above all glorifying the Lord. Certainly it talks about the benevolent giver and overwhelmingly thankful receiver and more importantly thankfulness to God. A generous giver who confesses his obedience to the gospel of Christ, thankfully gives and helps the people. By this very act He glorifies God and also bears testimony to the grace of the Lord. Furthermore, the receiver of the gift glorifies God by thanking and testifying His grace. The one who receives also longs and pray for those generous givers. Likewise everybody glorifies God for His eternal mercies and grace. But the ultimate gift is the one that God gave to mankind which is too wonderful to describe.
Dear brethren, give thanks to God for His wonderful gift. The gift is His begotten Son, Lord Jesus Christ. Yes, Lord Jesus is the best gift for the mankind. Lord Jesus is our life. He is the divine gift of atonement for the sins of the whole humanity. Instead of leaving us to the eternal damnation, God chose to send His Son to this sinful world to die for our sake. He chose to put the sin of all mankind upon His one and only begotten Son. So that we all may have the eternal life through Him. That is the love of God which is unconditional and true gift to all. Praise and give thanks to the Almighty for the gift so magnificent and too wonderful in Lord Jesus Christ.
