Blessed brothers and sisters in Christ! Warm wishes and greetings in His matchless name.

Beloved, the Scriptures are very clear about our material possessions and our desires. And the subject verse (Ecclesiastes 6:9 NLT) makes it even plain that we are to enjoy what we have. We glorify God by enjoying what we have been provisioned by Him. Even It may be little or meagre, but what is given by God brings happiness and joy to the body and soul alike. Truly, it is not the quantity or quality that matters, but our source. Yes, what is the source of our needs? If God is our source, we are blessed and enjoy it to the fullest, even if it is little. As Apostle Paul said, let us also be fully confident that our God will meet all our needs.

And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:19 NIV

Do not chase the wind

Beloved, as the second part of the subject verse says, let us not desire what we do not have. This essentially means that we do not cling on to those things that are vanity. Our insatiable desires of flesh and want of luxuries do not strengthen our spirit. It is the body that lusts for the worldly things. The scriptures says, that dreaming about those vain things are meaningless. Our body never stops dreaming at anyone thing. It always longs for all things that are materialistic. As it is rightly put, our body always chase the wind for the sake of vanity.

Seek God in Jesus name

Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Hebrews 4:16 NIV

Brethren, let us come out of this hunger for worldly things and be fully content and grateful to the Almighty God. Most importantly, our God is love. He is greater than any of our biological parents or well-wishers. What He gives us is the very best. Therefore, confidently approach His throne of grace and receive in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
