Your Throne, O God
Your throne, O God, is forever and ever.
But to the Son He says: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ ! All the glory be to the Living God!
The above subject verse (Hebrews 1:8) is clearly the word of the Heavenly Father in respect of His begotten Son, Lord Jesus Christ. When we consider the preceding verses also, the context becomes clear. Here, the context is wholly about our Lord Jesus Christ and His supremacy. Our Lord Jesus, is the Begotten Son and the Word of God. Evenmore He sustains all things by His powerful word. The Scripture clearly tells that Jesus is superior to the angels and all creation. Most importantly, the subject verse clearly supports the doctrine of the Trinity and the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Divinity of Lord Jesus Christ
“Your throne, O God, is forever and ever.” The preceding sentence being part of the subject verse clearly strengthens the doctrine of the Trinity. The Heavenly Father is addressing His begotten Son as God and the eternity of His rule or throne. Most importantly His righteousness being the scepter of His Kingdom, clearly establishes His nature and measure. Furthermore, Our Lord Jesus boldly stated the truth to the Jews that He and the Father are one. Because, He really is the Lord and the Son of God. As the 6th verse from the Book of Isaiah Chapter 9 portrays, He is the Son of God who is the Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and the Prince of Peace.
I and the Father are one.
John 10:30
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6
Finally beloved, our Lord Jesus is the only way the Living God has given unto us. Yes, other than Jesus, there is no other way to the Heavenly Father and the Holy Kingdom. Therefore, let us lead our fellow brothers and sisters to the King of kings and the Lord of lords. For, in Him is the Salvation for the humanity. Blessed be the name of Jesus and His name is above all names. Amen.
