Servant of Christ

Be Servant of Christ.

For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.

Galatians 1:10 ESV.

Greetings in the mighty name of Lord Jesus Christ !

Whom do we serve? Naturally we serve whosoever is our master. But as a child of God, we serve our master Jesus Christ. And we serve Him with fear and reverence. The Bible says, blessed is the man who fears the LORD and who greatly delights in His commandments (Psalm 112:1). Fear of man is unwarranted. Rather it creates doubt in our relationship with God. Furthermore if we are trying to please men, then we are not putting God first in our lives.

Above all, there is no need to fear men, who are mere mortals. But fear God who is immortal and who has the power to give life and take life. Fear is the Satan’s ploy to weaken and subdue us. So, never fall to the Satan’s trap of fear. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

Finally brethren, do not fear men and seek their approval in all things. But remember that in the fear of the LORD there is strong confidence. The confidece to be successful in all our ventures. As His children we have eternal refuge. Therefore let us be good servant of Christ and work for the glory of God. Amen.
