Firm in the faith
Stand firm in the faith.
Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love.
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, wish you a warm and blessed day!
The context of the subject verse (1 Corinthians 16:13-14) is about the personal requests Apostle Paul made to the Lord’s people. These two verses revolve around the faith that we should have. Moreover, it is the firm faith not a weakened one. Our firmness in faith steers the outcome of our many works. The confidence and the approach in executing any work or job is totally dependent on the almighty Lord. Certainly, frailty in faith will never get us the intended results.
Therefore, always be on guard. Absolutely it is the firmness in faith which sways the outcome. As the Apostle Paul says, be courageous and be strong. We on our own can never fight the war against the devil. Only by making room for our God in our body and allow Him to enter the doors of our heart, we will be able to move forward. It is our Lord who directs our every step. Do you think your faith is little? Then read the Bible, for it is the only book which leads us to Him. Therefore let us strengthen our faith as said in the following Scripture, Romans 10:17:
Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.
As the following Scripture Hebrews 11:6 says:
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Therefore, believe in God first and earnestly seek Him. Our God from His abundant riches will give us all the faith, courage, strength and love. In Jesus name. Amen.
