Praises and honor be to the God Most High in Jesus’ precious name !

The subject verse from the book of Habakkuk brings before us an important point which is unlike what others do before their gods. As we look into the verses ahead of the subject verse, it is very clear that life-less idols carved by man shall not profit anybody. And those molten images cast shall only propagates lies through its ignorant or innocent worshipers. The Scriptures clearly says — woe to those who trust their own creation which are deaf and dumb. For they neither hear nor answer the cries of the people.

Yes, those idols even though overlaid with gold and silver have no breath at all. But our Living God speaks to his children. Our God is neither found in the wooden idols nor in the molten or graven images. But He has His own temple where He is to be worshiped. Even there, there is no graven image, but His divine presence alone. Moreover, there is no need for us to awaken the Living God unlike the idolaters who goes through endless ordeal to awaken the lifeless stone.

‘“Listen in silence before me, you lands beyond the sea. Bring your strongest arguments. Come now and speak. The court is ready for your case.’

Isaiah 41:1 NLT

Therefore, let the whole earth reverently keep silence before the Omnipotent God. Even as the above verse says, let us listen in silence before the Living God. For we should diligently listen to His commands and act upon them. Yes, we shall be diligent in pursuing His will and bring glory to His mighty name. In Jesus’ matchless and mighty name alone. Amen.
