Crown of Splendor
A crown of splendor in the Lord’s hand.
You will be a crown of splendor in the Lord ’s hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God.
Dear Brothers and Sisters, seasons greetings in the mighty and matchless name of Lord Jesus Christ.
The subject verse (Isaiah 62:3) is a wonderful promise and blessing. The crown that is being discussed is not a simple one. But a crown of resplendence. It is definitely a kingly thing. And the chosen ones of the Lord are like a crown and diadem in His hands. The dignity and the worthiness of God’s children are upheld by the living God. Also they are protected, nurtured and also crowned them with victory. But what does it takes to become a person like that?
For the Lord takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory.
Psalm 149:4 NIV
Blessings crown the head of the righteous, but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked.
Proverbs 10:6 NIV
From the above verses, it is very clear that we be righteous in the sight of God. Therefore, seek first, His Holy Kingdom and His righteousness. Further more let us live with humility and be fully obedient to God in all things. By our own strength, we can never accomplish anything. But with Jesus our Lord, every crooked way is made straight for us.
Finally, God’s chosen ones will be a crown and a royal diadem in His hand. In Jesus’s precious name. Amen.
