Love and Good Deeds

Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Hebrews 10:24‭-‬25 NIV

Blessed brothers and sisters in Christ, warm wishes and hearty greetings in Jesus’ precious name!

We all love to be free and do things as per our whims and fancies. This obviously is the natural instinct of the fallen man. God is love and He loved us first. By virtue of His love He gave us the free will to act in our own wisdom and knowledge. He did not make the mankind as pre-programmed robots so that we love and surrender to Him. Even more, it is important to realize that God never forced Himself upon us. But He likes us to love Him with clear and pure heart, mind and soul.

We love because he first loved us.

1 John 4:19 NIV

The above subject verses (Hebrews 10:24-25) reminds us of God’s love. Also more importantly that we are all the body of Christ. As the children of God, we naturally tend to encourage one another to love and do good deeds for His glory. We are not to go alone; but should responsibly go along with other members of the church as one body of Christ. We are encouraged not to give up on meeting others; as some are in the habit of doing like-wise. Rather we need to stir up and be helpful to one another. For the day of the Lord is approaching and that we all be found in the righteousness of God.

Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.

1 Corinthians 12:27 NIV

Therefore brethren, let us live in this world like how we will live as one body in the heavenly kingdom. Let us love each other and fully surrender to our Lord Jesus Christ. Moreover let our lives be confirmed to the will of the Heavenly Father in Jesus’ matchless and mighty name. Amen.
