Encourage One Another
Encourage one another …
And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.
All the glory, praises and honor be to the Holy Father in Jesus’ precious name !
The subject verse from the Epistle to Hebrews plays an important part in our Christian lives. It calls for regular gathering of the believers for many important reasons. We should earnestly seek this very important communion as it is the will of our Lord Jesus Christ. Yes, Jesus sought regular assembly of His disciples both privately and as well as publicly. He regularly gathered with the disciples for private discussions and prayers. And also, went with them to public gatherings to both hear and preach the word of God.
Time is nigh
‘And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, ‘
Hebrews 10:24 NKJV
As the above verse says, we should motivate one another to show God’s love that we ourselves received unconditionally. Moreover showing the love by doing good works brings glory to the Living God. Especially when we assemble and encourage each other by the word of God. This bonding and strengthening with the word of God shall set our course right in God. Furthermore, assembling in the name of the Lord shall help those who are weak or have lost direction in their lives. As these gatherings are not meant to rebuke the weak or directionless. But to bring back those to the Lord by proper counsel and guidance.
‘This is all the more urgent, for you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. ‘
Romans 13:11 NLT
Brethren, as the above verse says, the day of the Lord’s return is nigh. It is indeed the high time that we are awake. Our regular gatherings in the name of the Lord shall strengthen our lives to be one with God. Most importantly, the confidence of the promised salvation is not lost but ever get stronger and stronger. In Jesus’ matchless and mighty name be saved. Amen.
