Dwell in the House of the Lord

I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,

One thing I have desired of the Lord , That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord , And to inquire in His temple.

Psalms 27:4 NKJV

All the glory, praises and honor be to the Holy Father in Jesus’ precious name!

The subject verse is obvious that the Psalmist wants to dwell in the temple of the Lord. The desires of the king David is not in the rich kingly palaces, but in the house of the Lord. He wants to be in the presence of the Almighty God. And David was very much sure that the Living God dwells in the temple and will answer all who approach Him. The following verse brings before us the confidence of king David. That the Almighty God shall answer those who come and seek Him in His temple.

In my distress I called upon the Lord , And cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, And my cry came before Him, even to His ears.

Psalms 18:6 NKJV

The Psalmist was very sure that in the presence of the Omnipotent, there is His divine protection along with the riches of goodness and great mercies. Joy and peace shall be great in those hearts who are near to God. Certainly, those who dwell in the presence of the Living God are blessed to the fullest. Surely, if God is with us, who shall come against us? Like a child who is secure in the presence of its parents, so are those who are in the presence of the Lord.

But as for me, I will come into Your house in the multitude of Your mercy; In fear of You I will worship toward Your holy temple.

Psalms 5:7 NKJV

Brethren, as the Psalmist says in the above, let us reverently seek the Living God where He is found. God is available to us at all the times as the Bible says that He dwells inside us. But, the power of His mighty presence shall be great where His children come and worship Him. Therefore, the Living God is to be sought in His Holy Temple where He is worshiped and glorified as a congregation.

Be blessed in the mighty and matchless name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
