All the glory, praises and honor be to the Almighty Heavenly Father in Jesus’ precious and matchless name!

The subject verse from the Book of Isaiah brings before us the Almighty God’s plan of restoration. And that all the former troubles of the people shall be forgotten and will not be seen again. Moreover, the afflictions of the people shall never come into their minds. From the context it is understood that the Prophet is addressing to God’s people who were in exile. But many consider this also to be related to the end-time prophecies. As the following verse from the Book of Revelation describes similar view as of the subject verse.

‘Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. ‘

Revelation 21:1 ESV

Very importantly, it is for us to understand that this is applicable to all the people of God. The righteous in God shall be delivered from their troubles and afflictions. All those who accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior and walk in His righteousness shall surely receive what God has promised. And they shall not only receive the crown of life but also inherit what God has promised through Jesus Christ.

Finally, as the subject verse says, their former things shall not be remembered or come into mind. In Jesus’s precious name be blessed. Amen.
