My Commands

Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me.

Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, warm wishes and greetings in the mighty and matchless name of our Lord Jesus!

The above subject verse according to John 14:21 tells us the truth which our Lord Jesus Himself revealed. Most importantly, whoever has and keeps His commandments is the one who loves Him. All throughout the Gospels, we see a number of commands. Further, Jesus gave these commands to His disciples and to all those who followed Him. Yes we all should apply these commands in our lives. The first and the foremost is the greatest commandment which Jesus gave when asked by a Pharisee. It is given in Matthew 22:37–40 and Mark 12:29–31.

37. Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’

38. This is the first and greatest commandment.

39. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

40. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.

Matthew 22:37-40

Love of Jesus

As Jesus said, those who keep his commands are the ones who love Him very much. Because of their love for Jesus, the Heavenly Father also loves them. From the Scriptures we know that, we all receive grace and mercy of the Heavenly Father through our Lord Jesus Christ. Moreover our Lord Jesus is the only way for our reconciliation with our Heavenly Father. Yes, we all are made righteous in the sight of God through our Lord Jesus. And what a promise we have from Jesus that He will show Himself to all have who love Him. Therefore brethren, Let us love the Lord our God with all our heart and with all our soul and with all our mind. Amen.
