God is Pure
For God is pure, will should keep ourselves pure.
Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is. And all who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure.
Praises and honor be to the Almighty Heavenly Father in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
What an awesome God we serve? The Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent God who loves us so much. The God who is unconditional in his love and impartial towards the people of the world. Isn’t it great that He calls us as His children? Even though we are sinful and guilt-ridden by nature, His love for us is evident from the sacrifice of His Begotten Son. Moreover, our unworthiness, sins and transgressions did not keep the Almighty God to abandon us.
Children of God
From the subject verse, it is clear that our adoption to sonship is not a future event. In fact, we are already the children of God. Yes, everyone who has given their hearts to Jesus Christ shall be renewed to know the truth. They shall long for the righteousness and the holy kingdom of the Almighty God. As the following verse says, those who have accepted Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior are indeed given the right to be the children of God.
But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.John 1:12 NLT
Keep Themselves Pure
As the subject verse says, the eagerness of the children of God is to see the Lord. Even though it is uncertain how we would look at the appearance of Christ, but it is very certain that we would be like him. Since our Lord is pure and holy, we too shall keep ourselves pure and holy. Therefore, let our talk, actions and thought process be pure, righteous and holy in the sight of the Almighty God. In Jesus’ matchless name let our lives be in accordance to the life he lived. Amen.
