All the glory, praises and honor be to the Almighty Heavenly Father in Jesus’ precious name !

Being thankful to God is not meant to be a once in a while gesture on our part. But we should offer thanks to the Almighty God in all the circumstances with the whole of our mind, body and soul. In the context of the subject verse, the Psalmist remembers all the things that the Omnipotent God did to the people of Israel. He brings out how God lead them through the wilderness. God took care of all their needs even in the midst of their lawlessness. Moreover, He protected His chosen people, showing them His great mercies even when they rebelled against Him.

Considering, the mighty and wondrous deeds of the Almighty God, the Psalmist asks to lift up our hands and thank God. Just like the Living God took care of the Israelites, He takes care of all His children. We all are blessed and protected by Him all these years. Furthermore, He continues to do so even now.

The Indescribable Gift

Let us therefore remember all the good, small or mighty things that God did in our lives. We never know what great things happened behind even in our small or trivial things. For sometimes, we see only the end product of God’s immense blessings. The example being, the sacrifice of His only Begotten Son, Jesus. The Almighty God gave Jesus Christ as an atonement for our sins. Yes, to save us from our own sins and to give us an eternal life in His holy kingdom, Jesus came down for us. Let us thank God for giving Jesus Christ, who is the indescribable gift mentioned in the below verse.

‘Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!

2 Corinthians 9:15
