Jesus, the radiance of God’s glory

Jesus is the radiance of God’s glory.

The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

Hebrews 1:3 NIV

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, warm wishes and greetings in the mighty and matchless name of Lord Jesus Christ.

The subject verse is part of a great narration about our Lord Jesus Christ by the writer of the general epistle Hebrews. The whole chapter greatly emphasize about the power and authority of our Lord, the Son of God. Certainly, He is greater than all of the prophets and apostles who came before and after Him. Also, He is greater than all the angels of the Heaven. Through our Lord Jesus, all things were created and He is the heir of all things.

Jesus is the radiance of God’s glory

God the Son, our Lord Jesus came down to the earth He created in flesh and blood. He did not come like a ruler or a king. But chose to live a life in meekness and humility. Although He came down as a man, He was way above than any of those prophets of the God, The writer of the epistle Hebrews rightly put the words in saying that the Son is the radiance of God’s glory. Truly He radiated God’s glory and more importantly, He was the exact representation of God’s being. The power of Jesus’ word sustained all things in the universe. Furthermore, Jesus did the will of the Heavenly Father by giving up Himself on the Calvary Cross as an atonement for our sins. Yes, He purified us from our own sins. And God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above all names.

Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name

Philippians 2:9

Dear brethren, now it is upto us to claim the victory that Jesus has provided us. The time is ripe to accept Jesus as our Lord and surrender to the will of the Heavenly Father. For we derive the power from our Lord Jesus Christ, who is now seated at the right hand of God. Amen.
