All the glory, praises and honor to the God Most High in Jesus Christ’s precious name !

The subject verse from the gospel according to Mark convey us the very words of our Lord, Jesus Christ. As the first part of the verse says, “the time has come“. According to KJV translation, it portrays that part of the verse as “the time is fulfilled“. Furthermore, the prophecies of the prophets were fulfilled by the birth of Jesus Christ, the Messiah. And the Messiah, Jesus himself confirms the fulfillment of the prophecy through the subject verse. The message of salvation through the Messiah is not limited to the Israelites alone, but to all the people of the world according to the following verse.

But now as the prophets foretold and as the eternal God has commanded, this message is made known to all Gentiles everywhere, so that they too might believe and obey him.

Romans 16:26 NLT

God’s plan of salvation

Since the Messiah has come, the kingdom of God which was preached by the prophets is also near. And the Lord reiterated the same good news of salvation to all. For He is the one who rescues and establishes the said Kingdom. Very importantly, all are to repent of their sins and believe in the Begotten Son of God. Yes brethren, repentance of our sins and faith in the Lord Jesus are indeed required to get into his Holy Kingdom. The Almighty God’s plan of eternal salvation is offered to all through His Son. Even more, He alone can can cleanse our sins once for all. For we are washed by His blood, we are made clean and righteous in the sight of the Almighty God.

Jesus Christ laid his own life to atone the whole humanity of their sins. On account of this sacrifice we all have the God’s plan of salvation established. In essence, this is the gospel or the good news — the message of Christ, his sacrifice, his resurrection and our restoration to the Almighty God. Given that our Lord has done the work, now it is up to us to receive this salvation. Therefore brethren, if you have not given your life to Christ, then the time is now to repent and believe in Him to be saved forever.

In Jesus matchless and mighty name. Amen.
