A great reward awaits you in heaven.

All the glory, praises and honor be to the Heavenly Father in Jesus’ precious name!

The subject verse from the Gospel according to Matthew, is our Lord’s word of peace and joy to all those who are getting persecuted for their faith in Him. The holy scripture asks us to be happy about it. To count it all joy for the trials and tribulations for Christ. Considering the sufferings that our Lord went through for you, me and the whole mankind is absolutely nothing.

The Son of God suffered for our sake

The Son of God chose to leave His Heavenly abode and come down into this world as a lowly person. He chose to be identified with the poor rather than the rich of the world. Moreover, He chose to suffer the pain of our sins, transgressions, abominations, iniquities. To make us righteous with God; He took upon Himself the sins of the whole mankind. Truly, Christ embraced the torture and pain of the Calvary Cross. Jesus suffered all these at the hands of man whom He created. And they even persecuted the prophets, the apostle and now all those who take-up the name of Christ.

‘who killed both the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they do not please God and are contrary to all men, ‘

I Thessalonians 2:15 NKJV

Jesus knows the pain of the persecuted

Our Lord knows the pain of every child of God. And He is very much with those who suffer for Him. For He himself is the strength and source of comfort in all the pain. Therefore, Jesus asks us to be happy about it and be very glad. For His children shall receive a great reward in heaven. Never fear to do what is the perfect will of the Almighty God.

Brethren, let us set our sight upon our Lord in all circumstances. And continue to do His will in Jesus’ mighty and matchless name. Amen.
