God will clothe you much more

If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, will he not much more clothe you?

If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?

Matthew 6:30

Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ! May you be blessed in the mighty and matchless name of Lord Jesus Christ!

No doubt, the world longs for material things. And those who follow the world seek material possessions and the short-lived comforts. But the life is not all about comfort and worldly things. Those who love the Lord always keep the material possessions less important. For their happiness is in the presence of the Lord. Their eyes are always set on the Lord. For they truly understand their priorities in Lord and believe in God’s mighty works. Most importantly, our Lord takes care of all our needs.

Store up treasures in Heaven

As the subject verse (Matthew 6:30) says that God is so keen even in those things that we consider trivial. Even He clothes the grass of field which are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow. Then how much more will God do to us whom He love the most. Wouldn’t He clothe you and me? Are we not of little faith if we do not believe the Lord our God? Furthermore, the Bible says that the treasures of the world are susceptible to destruction by moth and rust and even to theft and burglary.

19. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.

20. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.

Matthew 6:19-20

Truly brethren, as the above verses say, we need to store up for ourselves the treasures in heaven which are not susceptible any loss or damage. There are many things that we need to do in this world. Rather than accumulating treasures which we cannot take with us after our life’s journey in this world. Therefore, let us set our priorities right and long for those things which brings glory to God in Jesus name. Amen.
