We have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us.
He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us,
Praises, honor and all the glory be to the Heavenly Father in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Beloved brothers and sisters, grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. The context of the subject verse highlights what apostle Paul had to face in Asia. And the pain it caused was far beyond his ability to overcome. Yet, the Lord delivered him from the deadly encounter. And so brethren, it might not be uncommon in our lives also where our Lord rescued us from those encounters. For most, they might not have been deadly, but would have been like beyond our natural endurance. And suddenly, out of nowhere, we see the light at the end of the tunnel. That light which we get to see is the Lord’s grace.
Submit to the Lord
Our Lord never fails those who have given their hearts and set their hopes on him. As apostle Paul says, we need to set our hope that he always delivers us from our sorrows and troubles. No matter what the problem, sickness, disease or any other hardship might be, nothing is greater than the Lord. As the following verse says, in all your ways submit to the Lord, for he will make the paths straight
in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.Proverbs 3:6 NIV
Therefore brethren, always submit to the Lord in all things for he gives you the victory. Rather than fearing the tormentor, fear God who has the power to put the tormentor to death. In Jesus’ matchless name give thanks to the Almighty God to continually delivers us. Amen.
