Praises and glory be to the Living God!

The subject verse (Philippians 2:3) calls for imitating the humility of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul here is seen urging the Philippians to have an attitude of servant towards others. Just like our Lord Jesus, who came down into this world leaving all His heavenly power and majesty. Jesus humbled himself even to the point of death for our sake.

Brethren, we bring glory to the Almighty, when we humble ourselves and fear the Lord, The fear of the Lord out of reverence and love enables us to walk according to His plans. Moreover, the Bible says that humility is the fear of the Lord. Therefore, let the world go after the riches and fame, but we shall walk in humility for His glory’s sake. For we as His children have the promise of riches, honor and life according to the following below verse. I do not mean that we have to humble ourselves for the riches of this world, but for the eternal riches in God.

Humility is the fear of the Lord ; its wages are riches and honor and life.

Proverbs 22:4 NIV

Nothing out of selfish ambition

Therefore beloved, let us not do things out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. But humbly put others above ourselves. Let us walk a mile longer for the glory of the living God. And never allow pride to overtake in conducting ourselves with others. For the Scriptures says that haughtiness precedes downfall while pride precedes disgrace. But with humility comes honor and wisdom.

When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.

Proverbs 11:2 NIV

Before a downfall the heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor.

Proverbs 18:12 NIV

Finally, let us live with the humility and gentleness of Christ. Even more, let us seek to do all things in His righteousness and serve others in humility. May all the glory be to the Living God in the matchless name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
