Enemies at peace
God makes even our enemies to be at peace with us.
When a man’s ways please the Lord , He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.
Beloved blessed in Christ, warm wishes and greetings!
The subject verse (Proverbs 16:7) deals with our way of living before the Lord, our God. It is clear that our path of living or the choices we make has significant effect or consequences in our lives. If our ways please the Lord, then we shall have His peace. For the God makes even our enemies to be at peace with us. Therefore, it is for us to know what pleases the Lord. The written word of God, the Bible tells us many things about what pleases the Lord. We shall see some out of many things that the Holy Scriptures offers us.
Praise and thanksgiving
The first and foremost to do is to introspect ourselves. Is it not our top priority to glorify the living God? Are we praising and blessing Him for who He is? Are we thanking Him for all the good things and prosperity? The Psalmist says that by praising God’s name and glorifying Him with thanksgiving is more than animal sacrifices. Therefore thank and praise Him with all our hearts and minds.
I will praise God’s name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving. This will please the Lord more than an ox, more than a bull with its horns and hooves.
Psalm 69:30-31
Obedience
Obeying what God says, definitely pleases Him. Unlike the disobedience of Adam and Eve, it is the obedience of our Lord Jesus which we have to follow and apply in our lives. The disobedience of Adam and Eve gave way for the sin to be established in our roots. Whereas the obedience of our Lord Jesus Christ to the Heavenly Father, brought us the eternal life. Therefore, we should walk in obedience, as our Lord Jesus walked. We too shall love the Lord our God and be obedient to Him in all circumstances. Also, our Lord wants everybody to be obedient to parents in everything. Mind here, it is the obedience in everything, not for somethings.
Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.
Colossians 3:20 NIV
These are only some of the many ways which pleases our Lord. Therefore, let us strive and live for the glory of the Almighty God. Let us all surrender to our Lord Jesus and do the will of the Heavenly Father. Moreover, let our lives please the omnipotent God, so that our enemies are at peace with us. In Jesus matchless and mighty name be everything done. Amen.
