Be Transformed

Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Romans 12:2 NIV

All the glory and praises to the Heavenly Father in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Dear brethren, the subject verse from the Book of Romans is something for us to reflect upon. Are we the same persons we used to be? Haven’t we changed after knowing the Lord. Aren’t our priorities changed now? Isn’t our attitude towards others changed? Aren’t our thought processes replaced with the new godly ones?

If we say that we are the same as we used to be even after knowing the Lord, then brethren – we are not in God. For the Bible says, there is no one who is good. With the fall of Adam, we are sinners by birth. As the following verse says, there is no one who is righteous or who never sins.

Indeed, there is no one on earth who is righteous, no one who does what is right and never sins.

Ecclesiastes 7:20 NIV

Beloved, if really we are washed in the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, then our transformation would be evident to us and as well as to others. With our renewed minds, we surely would replace our own will with the God’s good and perfect will. We would long for knowing God’s will and subsequently put all our efforts to finish and win the race for the ultimate crown in the Lord’s heavenly realms.

Therefore beloved brothers and sisters, where do we stand now? Are we transformed? Are we walking the path that He had laid for us? Are we doing the will of the Heavenly Father? If we are not, let us set aside all the things and be on our knees and seek for His forgiveness. Our God is good. He forgives everyone who comes to Him with a repenting heart. Pray and be get freed from the burden of sins… in Jesus’ precious name alone. Amen.
