They will fight against you, But they shall not prevail against you.
They will fight against you, But they shall not prevail against you. For I am with you,” says the Lord , “to deliver you.”
Praises and honor be to the Holy Father in Jesus precious name !
The subject verse from the book of Jeremiah seems to be God’s assurance and protection from our enemies. The context of the chapter is Jeremiah’s calling and vision concerning the destruction of Judah and Jerusalem by the Chaldeans. Surely, absence of God in our lives shall invite the evil and wickedness of the world, And so are the God’s people in the context of the subject verse. As they forsook the Living God and turned to the worldly gods, they lost His divine protection. As a consequence, they attracted the Chaldeans to come against them.
The Almighty God chose prophet Jeremiah to deliver His message without any fear of men. God commands Jeremiah to stand up and declare what He has said. Truly, when God is on our side, why shall we fear? As the Lord has said, people shall come against us in one way or the other. But our focus shall always be upon the Almighty God who promised to deliver us. Most importantly, they shall not prevail over us for the Lord’s divine protection surrounds us. It is better to become enemy of the men than to become enemy of the Living God. Yes, we shall not do anything which is against the God. Furthermore, we shall fully surrender to His call and will. For abiding to God shall put us in His perfect path. Yes, the path which leads to the Heavenly Father.
Therefore brethren, let us fully abide to the Living God. For Jesus is with us in every work of God that we do. In Jesus’ precious name let every work be done for the glory of the Holy Father. Amen.
