Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, warm wishes and blessed time in the name of the Lord!

The subject verse (Proverbs 15;16) seems like any other life quotes. But it is very much not. This is from the written word of God. This is the heavenly secret revealed for us. Though this verse talks about some materialistic content, but what is more important is our attitude towards the Omnipotent God. Simply put, it is the reverent fear of God.

Surely, this is not something to say that little is always better than abundance of good things. But little with fear of the Almighty itself is considered riches. Moreover, our attitude towards the Living God also determines our contentment in life. Those who live and submit to God with reverence and humility shall surely have the riches, honour and increased length of life. For the following verses from the Holy Scriptures confirms the same.

Humility is the fear of the Lord ; its wages are riches and honor and life.

Proverbs 22:4 NIV

The fear of the Lord adds length to life, but the years of the wicked are cut short.

Proverbs 10:27 NIV

Also, the subject verse says that having great treasure with trouble is meaningless. For it is evident in the world that there is always nagging trouble of all sorts with abundance and affluence. Those who lusts for the worldly riches and accumulates them are never at peace. Constant and unknown fears of loss are always on their hearts. But those who fear the Almighty are always content with or without the riches of the world. Even better is a little that is blessed by the God.

Therefore brethren, as quoted in the above verses, let us humbly serve the Lord, our God with whatever He has blessed us. Let us praise and give thanks to Him with whole of our heart, mind, strength and soul. All the glory be to the living God in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
