Receive Mercy

They will receive mercy when they confess and turn from them.

People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy.

Blessed be God the Holy Father and our Lord Jesus Christ !

Beloved brothers and sisters, warm wishes and cheerful greetings to you. As the subject verse from the book of Proverbs says, those who conceal their sins will not prosper. One may argue that most of the prosperous people in this world maynot be righteous or even godly. Indeed, there are people in the world who are extremely rich and not godly. But that kind of prosperity would not bring any real joy or happiness. Those who prosper in unrighteous ways are always accompanied by fear and discontentment in their lives. For God is not with them. And where there is no God, there is no peace, joy or happiness.

The worldly prosperity is ephemeral while the godly prosperity is everlasting. Most importantly, those who conceal their sins do not go unnoticed or unpunished. Only fools think that they can hide all their sins. For the Bible says, nothing is hidden from God’s sight:

Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

Hebrews 4:13 NIV

As the subject verse says, we need to leave all sinful ways, confess and fully turn to the Almighty God. Yes, in that way one shall receive God’s mercy. Beloved, those who set their hope and trust in God shall never fail to prosper. While those who prosper unrighteously shall be laid bare before the Almighty. Let us therefore, live by the rich mercies of God which we shall receive when we base our lives on our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
