As a Father Shows Compassion

As a father shows compassion to his children …

As a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him.

Praises and honor be to the Holy Father in Jesus Christ’s precious name !

The subject verse from the Book of Psalms shows God’s sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings of His most loved creation. In the Holy Scriptures, the Almighty God is most often referred to as the Father. Even our Lord Jesus Christ taught His disciples to call upon the Almighty God as the Holy Father. As a father who heads the family and takes care of everything; our Loving God loves us more than the biological father. Moreover, He takes care of us in the best possible way. As the following verse says, a nursing mother may forget her child, but not the Living God.

“Can a woman forget her nursing child And have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will not forget you.

Isaiah 49:15 NKJV

God dwells with the lowly and contrite

The Bible says that the Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent God dwells in the places of most high and most holy. And the same Almighty God dwells in the hearts of the contrite and of the lowly spirit. What a great God we have. Who being the Omnipotent God, likes to dwell among the lowly and the contrite. For great is His love and compassion towards the mankind. Indeed, the Lord’s compassion surrounds those who fear Him. Furthermore, His loving compassion revives our heart and spirit. He uplifts us from the lowliness and makes us firm in our lives.

For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.

Isaiah 57:15 ESV

Therefore beloved, return to our Lord Jesus Christ who is the Everlasting Father according to Isaiah 9:6. For He came down into this world to save all the sinners from their own sins. Yes, God hates the sin, but not the people. Most importantly, God loves us. He wants us to come out of the filth of sin and wash ourselves with the blood that He shed for us on the Cross. For His blood speaks for our salvation. In Jesus’s precious name be saved to the eternity. Amen.
