Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, warm wishes and greetings in the precious and priceless name of our Lord Jesus!

The above subject verses (Psalm 34:13-14) talk about the most important organs of speech. They are the tongue and lips which are part of the mouth, The Bible says that the tongue has the power to give life and death. As the following below verse says so. And the way we use our tongue determines the type of fruit we would receive.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Proverbs 18:21 NIV

To emphasize, the Bible clearly asks us to keep our tongue from talking evil and also our lips from telling lies. As a christian, there is an immense need to know and observe our talk and language respectively. We can never let our tongue have its way. Rather, we should be careful of what comes from our mouth. As Jesus said, we only speak out what is there deep down in our hearts. Evenmore, we defile ourselves by uttering those words that we never ever should say.

But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them.

Matthew 15:18 NIV

Therefore brethren, let us keep our cool by the way of our Lord. We by our sinful nature tend to forget that we have access and protection of our almighty Lord Jesus Christ. As the Psalmist sought the Lord, let us also cry on to Him to save us from the lying lips and from the deceitful tongues. Let our tongues be cleansed from all of the evil and vile lies. Seek the Lord to make yours a soothing tongue which is like a tree of life.

The soothing tongue is a tree of life, but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit.

Proverbs 15:4 NIV

Finally, pray and submit to the Almighty God in the mighty and matchless name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
