Put your hope in God.
Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Saviour and my God.
Praise the Lord! Greetings and warm wishes in the mighty and matchless name of Lord Jesus Christ.
The above verse in Psalm 42:11 talks about a downcast soul. The author is questioning his soul. Why in the state of sorrow? Why bowed down and disturbed? When our real hope is in the living God, there is no place for dejection. Since God is love and faithful, He enables us to overcome the cause of our desolation. As the scripture according to Psalm 62:8, let us trust in him at all times by pouring out your hearts to him. Because our God is our refuge.
Therefore beloved brothers and sisters, let us live by the word of God. As said in Philippians 4:6 :-
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
God is always nearer to us. It is up to us to practice His presence in our lives. When His word abides in us, fear and dejection would not last for much time in our lives. The bitterness will only last for the time we are lost in God. And it does not mean we can go away and come to God as and when we like. Rather than deviating from the path that the Lord has laid for us, let us stay on course with the strength that God’s provides. Stay blessed in Jesus. Amen.
