My Shield and Glory

Lord ! You are my shield and my glory.

But you, Lord , are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high.

Psalm 3:3 NIV

But you, Lord , are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. Psalm 3:3 NIV

Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, be blessed in the Lord! Never cease praising the living God; always glorify Him in every possible way and at all the times.

What a wonderful day! The happiness and joy which comes from the Lord stays with us. But the one that the world gives is short and temporary. So what is the state of your life now? Where do you stand now? With the God or the devil? Yes brothers and sisters, the only options we have is either with God or with the devil. Seek Him with the same confidence as the Psalmist, King David. It is quite evident from the verse Psalm 3:3.

The Lord is our shield and our glory.

Lord Jesus Christ is our shield. It is absolute truth and wonderful news for all who make Jesus Christ as their Lord. If the omnipotent God is our shield, who could lay their hands or touch us. The evil and wicked can never ever come to us. For it is not we who fights with them, but the Lord. And the evil and wicked knows this truth and they have no option but to flee from us.

The Lord is our glory. Yes He is the one who gives us the victory in all dimensions. Be it in our spiritual life or in our day-to-day life. We shall have victory in the mighty and matchless name of our Lord Jesus Christ. As the Scripture says according to Deuteronomy 20:4

For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.

The Lord is our head-lifter.

Ultimately it is our Lord who lifts our heads high. No more we will bow our heads down in fear and shame. When the Lord is on our side, it is the fear that fears us, the children of God. For our Lord has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love and self discipline. As the Scripture says in 2 Timothy 1:7

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

What a wonderful God we have! Let us continually glorify His mighty and matchless name. Thank and praise Him for He alone is worthy. In Jesus matchless name submit and surrender to the living God. Amen.
