All the glory, praises and honor be to the Holy Father in Jesus’ precious name!

The subject verse is very critical and requires our immediate attention to the minutest details of our Christian life. Though this verse is not specifically concerned with those who are absolutely new in Christ. But, this is equally important for the newcomers to know what could go wrong in one’s life. It is absolutely necessary to check the current state of our heart, mind, body, soul and spirit. Is our heart, mind and body in the right frame? Whether our soul and spirit are at peace or wrestling with us? Is our spirit in unity with the Holy Spirit of God?

Finished work of salvation

The Bible says that there is no one who is righteous in the sight of God. Moreover, our righteousness is just as good as filthy rags. It is perfect that we have repented and turned to the Son of God, Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. But how is our life now as the days progressed? Do we still have the same love that we first had for God? Or did we return to our sinful past? As the children of God, there is no doubt everyone receives the knowledge of the truth. The truth that Jesus took all our sins upon Himself and shed His holy blood for us to wash our sins. And ultimately, He gave up His life on the Calvary Cross and finished the work of salvation once for all.

Deliberate sin is repeated crucifixion of Jesus

‘For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt. ‘

Hebrews 6:4-6

From the above verse, it is understood that it is impossible to restore those who have known all the truth and fallen away. For they are crucifying once again the Lord Jesus Christ. Very importantly, those deliberately sinning have no other sacrifice to atone them.

Therefore, it is critical to check ourselves and know whether we are deliberately sinning against God and our Lord Jesus Christ. Let us fully submit to Him who has given His life and made us righteous in the sight of Almighty God.

In Jesus matchless name be righteous and holy. Amen!
