The Lord will Guide

The Lord will guide you continually.

The Lord will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.

All the praises and honor be to the Heavenly Father in Jesus’ precious name !

The subject verse from the Book of Isaiah is the outcome of a fast that pleases the God. A repentant heart willing to shed every kind of filthiness sets the path right. A true fast is to afflict our souls and express sincere sorrow over our sins.

The Almighty God’s promises and blessings are always with those repentant hearts. Truly, He will guide us continually all through out of our life. Just like, He was with the Israelites throughout their wilderness, He is willing to guide us in our personal lives. Moreover, He shall ensure that we do not lack any thing for our soul and bones. His continual guidance and providence shall sustain us in all circumstances. As the following verse says, He will sustain us without being shaken.

Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.

Psalms 55:22 NIV

God’s Providence

The people of the Lord shall sorrow no more. For He looks after them and nourishes them, just like a well-watered garden. Moreover, the water that nourishes the plants of a garden are from a never-failing spring. Similarly, God’s nourishment or providence is never-failing towards His children. Just as the trees of the Lord are well watered, His children are also well nourished.

The trees of the Lord are well watered, the cedars of Lebanon that he planted.

Psalms 104:16 NIV

Dear brethren, let us not fast for the sake of fasting or to be ritualistic. Instead, let our fasts bring glory to the Almighty God. With sincerity, humility and fear, let us approach the throne of God. He shall take care of us as said in the subject verse. Very importantly, let us do all this in Jesus Christ’s precious and matchless name.

Amen.
