All the praises and honor be to God, the Holy Father in Jesus Christ’s precious and loving name !

The subject verse from the Book of Ecclesiastes brings before us the truth of our limited understanding. We the mere mortals can never fathom the deep mysteries of God’s marvelous works. If we study the context of the subject verse, it revolves around wisdom and money. In fact, God’s providence, particularly the referred entities — wisdom and money are profitable to man. God has given both the wisdom and money to us. But those who are rich and in abundance are few and also to gain riches is not an easy thing.

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

James 1:5 NIV

As the above verse says, God has given us wisdom and promised to give generously to all who ask Him. Why did God do this? Why riches to few, while wisdom with in reach of all? Whatever be the reason, it is for us accept the ways of God. The way God does things is in fact too hard for us to understand. Unless, the Almighty God reveals to us, we can never know. Take heart, for God indeed reveals to us through His Holy Scriptures. While those who posses wisdom shall put their trust in God and walk in the path that God shows. As the second part of the verse says, who can straighten what God has made crooked? Likewise, the path to the worldly riches is indeed crooked.

for riches do not endure forever, and a crown is not secure for all generations.

Proverbs 27:24 NIV

Rather than the worldly riches, earning heavenly riches should be our goal. As the above verse says, riches do not last forever. Neither, riches are source of peace and joy. Most importantly, God’s path may be narrow or crooked to our sight, but it shall lead to our life’s victory. Even the victory to the eternity with God in Jesus’ precious name. Amen.
