Let your light shine before others.
In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
All the glory, praises and honor be to the Holy Father in Jesus’ precious name!
The subject verse from the Gospel according to Matthew reveals to us who we are in Christ. Our Lord Jesus Christ declares us as the light of the world (verse 5:14). Indeed, we are what He declares us to be. The Son of God called us to be the light of the world, and so we are. This calling becomes clear when we read the scriptures verse 5:14-16. More importantly, He wanted everyone to be His disciples. As it is clear from the below verse, we are all called to be His disciples. Moreover, as He called the disciples to be the light of the world, we too receive the same mandate. Therefore, as the Lord’s disciple, we too are the light of the world.
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,Matthew 28:19 ESV
Since we are the light of the world we are to shine for the Lord. As the Bible says, nobody lights a lamp to cover it up. But keep it at high places so that it gives light to the maximum.
Your good works for Father’s glory
The life of Lord’s disciples impacted so many people to come and glorify the Holy Father. Their lives have impacted us and continue to impact many even now. As we have glorified the Holy Father for the same light, we too shall do all the good works. Yes, all our good works shall surely impact others that they glorify the Living God in Jesus’ precious name.
Finally, be blessed in the Lord by being the light of the world. In Jesus’ matchless and mighty name. Amen.
