Your Word

Lord , your word is eternal.

Your word, Lord , is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens.

All the glory, praises and honor be to the Holy Father in Jesus’ precious name!

Through the subject verse, the Psalmist acknowledges the immutability of God’s word. This attribute of God shows His unchanging character in keeping His declared word. Throughout the Bible, we see His words in action and fulfilling. And the Almighty God kept His promises and the covenants He made with the people. Unlike man, He neither forgets nor ceases to do what He has promised. We may fail in keeping our word, but the Lord is firm in keeping His word. He is the Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent God who is the eternal truth.

Word of the Lord endures forever

‘because “All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, And its flower falls away, But the word of the Lord endures forever.” Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.’

I Peter 1:24-25 NKJV

From the above verses, we see how apostle Paul declares the word of the Lord. Truly, the word of the Lord endures forever. No power could ever shake what He has firmly placed. Neither can one deform or dislocate what God has shaped or placed respectively. Furthermore, the word that proceeds from God’s mouth accomplishes what He has spoken. The Sovereign God established everything around us for His glory. And the very creation speaks His omniscience.

Brethren, the Almighty God is eternal and so is His word. Moreover, the Bible says that the heaven and earth may pass away but not His word. We as His children through Lord Jesus are to look for those that are eternal and from the heaven. The worldly things are fleeting and are of no value for the kingdom of God. Therefore, let us fully submit to our Lord Jesus and walk in the will of the Almighty for the promised eternal glory.

In Jesus’ matchless name be blessed. Amen.
