My Son whom I love

This is my Son, whom I love.

Then a cloud appeared and covered them, and a voice came from the cloud: 'This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to him!'

Mark 9:7 NIV.

Then a cloud appeared and covered them, and a voice came from the cloud: “This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to him!” Mark 9:7 NIV

Greetings and warm wishes in the mighty and matchless name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

One of the most important verse in the Bible is the verse Mark 9:7 which talks about the voice of the almighty Heavenly Father. The living God gives testimony about Lord Jesus Christ, His one and only begotten Son. This is the event on the Mount of Transfiguration. The people who witnessed this event along with Jesus were not only His disciples Peter, James and John, but also the Prophets Elijah and Moses. The whole series of events on the Mount of Transfiguration are remarkable in multiple ways.

Obey Jesus!

First and foremost the event is the divine attestation of our Lord Jesus’ godliness. The deification of the person and nature of Lord Jesus in front of the disciples and the prophets serves a purpose. Moreover, the disciples are given an incredible evidence. The evidence that Lord Jesus came down from Heaven in the flesh. He came down to fulfill the law and the Scriptures. The event also brings forward the fact that Jesus is the end of the law and the prophets. Furthermore, it makes clear that everyone should now obey Jesus who is the way, the truth and the life. As the Scripture says that all power and authority is given to Jesus in heaven and on earth. According to verse Matthew 28:18:

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

Most importantly, the Heavenly Father came down and openly declared His love for His only begotten Son and commands everyone to obey Him. Truly brethren, our Lord not considering who He was, made the utmost sacrifice for you and me. Therefore, let us fully submit to the King of kings and the Lord of lords and be blessed and be saved. Amen.
