Righteousness and Integrity

A person’s integrity is guarded by his righteousness.

Righteousness guards the person of integrity, but wickedness overthrows the sinner.

Proverbs 13:6 NIV

Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, greetings and warm wishes in the matchless name of our Lord Jesus!

Righteousness is one of the chief attributes of God. He is righteous in all things. All His works are just and grand in every sense and scale respectively. God is righteous and His righteousness also expresses His holiness. Also He wants His children to be righteous and holy. Certainly, righteousness and holiness are an integral part of all the believers. Without them we cannot be found in the way of the Lord. If we are not with God, it is but natural to say that we are in walk with the devil. As the subject verse Proverbs 13:6 says, righteousness guards our integrity in Christ. Rather than any other person, we ourselves are the best to judge our integrity. So, where do we stand ?

The above verse is outrightly clear in stand against the sinners. Truly, their wickedness overthrows them and their deceit destroys. As the following verse says:

The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.

Proverbs 11:3

Moreover brethren, let us be upright in our way and do what is right and just in the sight of God. Our lives are not meant to be seen and judged by others, but only for the glory of Christ our Redeemer. The following verse highlights what is more acceptable to the Lord:

To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.

Proverbs 21:3

Very truly, rather than the sacrifices of birds and animals, it is by doing what is right and just in the sight of God is more acceptable. Therefore, let us align ourselves to the will of the Heavenly Father and do all things that we ought to accomplish for the glory of the Almighty. In Jesus matchless name alone, let us live in righteousness and in integrity. Amen.
