Ready to Forgive

The Lord is ready to forgive all those who call upon Him.

For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You.

Psalms 86:5 NKJV

For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You. Psalms 86:5 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/psa.86.5.NKJV

All the glory, praises and honor be to the God Most High in Jesus Christ’s glorious name !

The subject verse from the Psalms sets before us God’s magnanimity and remission. Here, we see the confidence of the Psalmist on the Almighty God. The Bible says, God alone is good. There is no one in this world who is good or who is righteous in their works. For the righteousness of men are as good as filthy rags in the sight of God.

But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away.

Isaiah 64:6 NKJV

King David’s confidence on the Lord’s forgiveness is evident from the Psalms he wrote and also from his life that the Bible portrays. God’s readiness to forgive his children is the truth that the devil tries to hide from all of us. Yes, the truth of God’s love is overwhelming for the satan that he tries everything to obfuscate from the mankind. Truly, God is very much eager to forgive all those who come to Him with a repentant heart. Moreover, as the scripture says, He is plenteous in mercy to all who look up to Him.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

I John 1:9 NKJV

Brethren, the very fact that we are all leading our lives unimpeded even during these difficult and hard times is because of his goodness, his readiness to forgive and the plenitude of his mercy. Therefore, let us love the Lord our God with the whole of our hearts, minds and souls and give all the glory to the Holy Father in Jesus’ matchless name. Amen.
