More than Conquerors
We are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
Blessed be the name of the Holy Father in Jesus Christ’s precious name !
The subject verse is from the eighth chapter of Paul’s epistle to the Romans, where he comforts the reader struggling with the flesh. Very truly, we daily experience this inner struggle between our spirit and flesh. Though our spirit longs to side with the Living God, the flesh drags us to the worldly things. Our faith and hope is in the Lord Jesus Christ. Who loved us so much that He gave himself to atone our sins. He willingly died taking the whole sins of the humanity upon himself. Yes, Jesus died once for all and was raised to life by the Holy Father. And this sacrifice of our Lord on the cross shows us His exceeding and divine love for us.
More than conquerors through Christ
As we meditate on this verse, it points us to the verses just ahead of the current one. The scriptures says, that nothing can separate us from Christ’s love. No trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword can ever separate us from our Lord. Even now He is interceding for all of us sitting in the place of honor at the Heavenly Father’s right hand. As the below verse says, the present sufferings are nothing when compared to the glory that is set for us. And we are not just conquerors, but more than conquerors. For our victory is through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Romans 8:18 NLT
Therefore brethren, let us not get deterred in our pursuance and perseverance in walking with the Lord and doing the Holy Father’s will. Yes, in Jesus’ mighty and matchless name we pursue and persevere. Amen
