You were made Holy

You were made holy.

Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

1 Corinthians 6:11 NLT

Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
1 Corinthians 6:11 NLT

All the glory, praises and honor be to the Heavenly Father in Jesus’ precious name!

The subject verse from Paul’s first epistle to church in Corinth; brings before us the power of the Almighty God. Especially, the verse talks about the power in the mighty and majestic name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The verses preceding the subject verse talks about the sins that the people indulge-in. And also, it talks about their foolish belief that they will still inherit the kingdom of God.

The scriptures say that those who are unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). Moreover, the scriptures admonishes those who indulge in sexual sin, idol worship, adultery, prostitution, homosexuality, stealing. Also, asks not to be greedy or given to drinking or be abusive of people or cheat them. For those who practice all such things shall not inherit the Kingdom of God.

The name of Lord Jesus Christ

And some of those who practiced all the above were cleansed, made holy and righteous in the sight of the Almighty God. But how were they made? The Bible says that by calling on the name of Lord Jesus Christ and by the Holy Spirit of God they were cleansed and made right with God. Yes, the Bible says to call on the name of the Holy Son of God, Jesus Christ. For He alone is the way, the truth and the life. There is no other way to the Holy Father and His holy kingdom. As the following verse says, wash your sins away by calling on the Name above all names.

What are you waiting for? Get up and be baptized. Have your sins washed away by calling on the name of the Lord.’

Acts of the Apostles 22:16 NLT

The sons of disobedience obey the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world (Ephesians 2:2). While those who are of Christ has God the Holy Spirit indwelling in them. Yes, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit of God to work in all of us according to the will of the Living God. Therefore, let us continue to walk in obedience and in humility for the glory of the Almighty God.

Stay blessed in Jesus’ precious name. Amen.
