Just Believe

Don’t be afraid; just believe.

Overhearing what they said, Jesus told him, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.”

All the glory, praises and honor be to the Holy Father in Jesus’ precious and matchless name!

What could anybody have more than the assurance of the Almighty God ? The subject verse from the Gospel according to Mark, brings before us Lord Jesus’ very words. In the context, Jesus’s assurance to Jairus is clear to us. He asks Jairus not be afraid, but to believe in Him no matter what the people around says. To believe God is to trust Him from the core of our hearts. There are so many instances in the Bible where the Lord has asked us not to be afraid, but believe in the Almighty God.

Belief in the Almighty God is paramount

‘They went right into the house where he was staying, and Jesus asked them, “Do you believe I can make you see?” “Yes, Lord,” they told him, “we do.” Then he touched their eyes and said, “Because of your faith, it will happen.” ‘

Matthew 9:28-29 NLT

From the above verses it is clear that our belief is paramount for the miracles to happen in our lives. Without faith in the Lord, it is impossible to please God says the scripture. So, if you have no faith in the Almighty God, how could you ever expect a miracle? There are so many distractions in the world that are always against us. Those distractions may not necessarily be the evil spirits alone, but maybe in the form of people or even more our own worldly knowledge. The things that we feed to our mind may make or break us. The worldly knowledge may even impede our trust and faith in God.

Therefore, let us put our trust and faith in the only Begotten Son of God. As he delivered Jairus’ daughter, He is able to deliver all those who puts their faith and trust in Him. Be blessed and be delivered in Jesus’ precious name. Amen.
